The Macon County Board of Education is made up of five members who serve the voting districts of Macon County.  They are elected by the voters in Macon County for a four year staggered term.  The Macon County Board of Education appoints the Director of Schools.  Members of the Macon County Board of Education are listed below.

The Macon County Board of Education meets in regular session on the 2nd Thursday of each month.  Normal meeting time is 6:00 p.m.  All meetings are open to the public.  Public notice is given prior to each meeting.  Below is a table of all the currently regular scheduled meeting of the Macon County Board of Education.  It is possible that dates, times and locations may change throughout the school year.  Proper notification of any changes will be published in our local newspapers.
