The Macon County Board of Education work session for this afternoon, January 5th, has been cancelled. The board meeting will take place on Thursday, January 8th at 6:00 pm in the board room at the Board of Education.

Fairlane Elementary School was on "soft lockdown" for a very short period of time yesterday, December 15, right before noon. This was due to a medical situation that required a response by the Macon County Ambulance Service. The area was confined to a specific part of the school. But, to allow the paramedics access, the soft lockdown was instituted. The school was back on regular schedule very soon after lunch.
