Although we are not in a winter advisory for tonight, we are in the general vicinity of potentially impacted areas. UPDATE--The suspect from the incident in RBS this morning is now in custody and the soft lockdown at RBS schools has been lifted.
The schools in Red Boiling Springs are on a soft lockdown due to reports of an armed suspect from an altercation in the city earlier this morning. The soft lockdown is for precautionary reasons only. It will be lifted when the suspect is in custody.

The Macon County Board of Education and the Macon County Education Association will be participating in a Collaborative Conferencing session on Tuesday, March 4th, at 3:00. The meeting will be held in the board room at the district office. The meeting is public and open to any interested parties to attend.

This spring, whenever you need to fill up your tank, MCHS Baseball encourages you to consider purchasing your gas at Pump 3 at Lafayette Kash Stop, located at the corner of Hwy 52 and Days Road near the school. (aka: the old "Gulf")
From March 1st to May 31st, 5¢ of every gallon of gas sold at Pump 3 will go to the MCHS Baseball program. We are excited about this new opportunity to raise money for the program, and in return, we really want to show Lafayette Kash Stop how much we appreciate this partnership by encouraging the community to support their business.
