As of now, Macon County Schools will be open, on time, with bus driver discretion on Thursday, February 2nd. Roads will be evalulated again in the morning as a line of precipitation is forecasted to move across the area overnight. Plans should be made in advance in case we have to amend the schedule. Please check your notificaitons on the Maocn County Schools App, the Macon County Schools Facebook page, or the Nashville television stations in the morning for the most up to date information.
MCHS Local Scholarships that are due February 1 can be submitted the day school resumes.

Tonight’s MCHS and Dekalb Co basketball game has been rescheduled for this Thursday at Dekalb Co.
RBS and Pickett County game for tonight has been rescheduled to Thursday February 9th. Game is at Pickett County.

***MCJHS STUDENTS AND PARENTS*** Retake Picture Day is 2/2/23! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. We are aware that some areas of Red Boiling Springs, including the school are without power this morning. While an exact time for the return of service cannot be determined, crews from Tri-County are currently working to restore power. Bus routes immediately around the affected area may be impacted due to debris in the road. This situation will continue to be monitored until power is restored and school will begin at the normal time today.

Macon County High School will be hosting an EPSO Parent Night on Thursday, February 16 at 6:30pm in the MCHS Auditorium. We will be discussing ways to earn college credit hours and certifications while in high school. Early post-secondary options include: Advanced Placement, College Level Examination Program, Dual Enrollment, Local Dual Credit, State Dual Credit, and Industry Certifications.

***REMINDER*** Macon County Schools are closed tomorrow in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Term 2 Report Cards 2022-2023 are now available in Skyward Parent and Student Access under the Portfolio area of the website and app. Anyone that needs access to Parent Skyward Account, please email parent name and student name(s) to skywardhelpdesk@maconcountyschools.org. There has been a slight change in steps in order to view Report Cards in the Student Portfolio in Family and Student Access. After going to the Student Portfolio, you will click Print on the report Card. You will then see a "Request Queued". This should take a few seconds, then the Download button will appear. Click Download to view the Student Report Card.
Teachers and support staff can pick up checks tomorrow, January 13th from 7:00-12:00 at the Board of Education. Checks not picked up by 12:00 will be mailed.
