In order for our bus drivers to have the safest visibility possible, Macon County Schools will be an hour late on Thursday, April 3rd. This is a safety precaution due to the amount of rain that is expected overnight and tomorrow.
Go ahead now and make plans in case the decision is made to close schools instead of running on a delay. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the forecasted storms, that is a decision that might not be made until late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Macon County Arts Council’s “Movers, Shakers, and Music Makers”, a performance workshop for children 4th thru 12th grades, will be held April 28th - May 2nd, 2025 at the Macon County High School Auditorium.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday hours are 3:30 to 6:30. Friday hours are 3:30 to 6:30 with the public performance starting at 7:00. Snacks and water will be provided each day and a meal will be provided before the performance on Friday.
The Movers, Shakers and Music Makers is an opportunity for your child to learn the basics of music and choreography. All levels of experience are accepted and wanted! This is a wonderful experience for your child to work with others while learning and highlighting natural abilities. Students will work together over the course of four days to showcase their talents in a live performance for the community.
The workshop is limited to 80 students.

There will be a collaborative conferencing meeting between the Macon County Education Association and the Macon County School System on Wednesday, April 2nd at 3:30 in the Macon County School System board room. The meeting is open and all are invited to attend.

MCJHS Girls Soccer----There will be a parent and player interest meeting for all upcoming 6th-8th grade girls for the 2025-26 school year with the new head coach on Tuesday, April 1 at 6 pm in the MCJH cafeteria.

While we try to schedule a makeup day in the fall, a makeup opportunity is NOT guaranteed. Please come for your photo this week to ensure that your picture will appear in your senior yearbook.

Dangers of Vaping: What Parents Need to Know will be held on
Tuesday, March 25, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
Understand and recognize tobacco industry tactics targeting youth.
Explain the dangers of nicotine e-cigarettes/vapes, non-nicotine vapes, and other new tobacco products.
Know the steps to protect youth and how to advise others to get involved.
Know how to take action in your own communities.
