***Virtual Campus Parents/Guardians***
Tomorrow is device pickup day if a borrowed device is needed for the virtual learning program. Pickup will at the back of MCJH you n the auditorium. There will be at the door to enter. Pickup times are 9am-2pm and 4-6pm. No device pickup from 2-4pm to allow for buses at the school.
Girl Scout troop leaders in Macon County will host a Girl Scout Recruitment event at Lafayette City Park , Saturday August 29th from 9-10am. Intersted parent can watch a related youtube video at

Skyward Student Access remains locked and will be locked until all final scheduling is complete. For parent requesting password resets or account creation, please be patience while we work through the many requests....Virtual School planning is the top priority for the technology staff but all requests will be responded to as soon as possible.
Skyward Parent Access is now open....please be aware that changes continue with scheduling for Virtual Campus and that all schedules are subject to change at MCJH and MCHS. Absolutely no passwords will be reset via text or Facebook messenger....resets must be done thru email at skywardhelpdesk@maconcountyschools.org Emails must include parent and student name to be reset. The fastest and easiest way to reset your password is the Forgot Password link under the small login button on the Skyward login page. Any parent without an account that wishes to create one must email the same info above to the email address above.
Please see attached map for LES pickup directions. The only change from last year is that parents will need to pull through the entire parking area and pick up their children at the sidewalk that leads from the parking lot to front door.
Skyward Educator Access is now open for teaching staff. Parents please be expecting another push tonight letting you know Skyward Parent Access is open. If nothing else changes, Parent Access will open later tonight.
Sorry we have been delayed on setting up a day for parents that want to drop off their children’s supplies early. We will be taking supplies this Thursday, August 20, from 8:00am -10:45am and from 11:45am - 2:45pm. Parents will drop them off at the front door of the main entrance and someone will be there to take them to your child’s homebase teacher or locker if it has been assigned.
With that being said, you can send your supplies the first of school with your child. There isn’t a real need to bring them early other than having them their on the first day when the students arrive.
We apologize for not having our usual open house but we are trying to be as cautious as we can. Thank you for understanding.

Lafayette Elementary School Open House Drive-Thru will be Wednesday August 19th from 3-6pm. You may drop off school supplies and meet your teachers during this time. Please remain in your vehicle at all times.
-5th grade enter football parking lot from Meador Drive, pull down to the CDC walkway, and then exit onto High Street.
-4th grade enter where students are dropped in the morning from Meador Drive (cut through road beside playground), stop at the ramp, and then exit onto High Street.

Macon County Schools Families,
The Macon County School System has developed a decision making protocol for responses to COVID-19. This plan was developed with the safety of students, faculty/staff and our community in the forefront. I encourage you to look at our COVID response plan and familiarize yourself and your children with the information contained in the plan. School library books can be returned to any MC school that is the most convenient for the family. It does not have to be returned to the school from which it was originally checked out
On Tues. Aug. 11th the Macon Co Bd of Ed will hold it's monthly work session at 6pm and then the regular scheduled Board Meeting on Aug. 13 at 6pm. Both meetings will be closed to the public and broadcast via Facebook Live on the school district page.
MCHS and RBSHS students who will be attending TCAT (vocational school) at the RBS campus will be required to wear a mask. This is per Tennessee College of Applied Technology rules and regulations. Masks will be provided by TCAT or your child can bring their own.

ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL TO GET IN VIRTUAL SCHOOL. IF YOU HAVE NOT ENROLLED IN MACON COUNTY SCHOOLS, THAT IS TOMORROW FROM 8-10AM.

If you ordered one of these sling backpacks from the LES Life Skills Tiger’s Den Transition store before the schools shut down in March, they are in now.
