
Term 1 Report Cards 2024-2025 are now available in Skyward Parent and Student Access under the Portfolio area of the website and app. Anyone who needs access to their Parent Skyward Account, please email the parent name and student name(s) to skywardhelpdesk@maconcountyschools.org. To view Report Cards, go to the Student Portfolio, and click on the T1 Report Card, you will then click Print on the Report Card. You will then see a "Request Queued". This should take a few seconds, then the Download button will appear. Click Download to view the Student Report Card.

The Lafayette Lions Club is conducting its yearly contests for students in Macon County (Lafayette and Red Boiling Springs). Please see the photos of the forms. Forms were taken to the schools on October 14.
The Peace Essay Contest is due November 7 and entries will be picked up at the student’s school. The Peace Essay Contest is for students in junior high and high school. First-place winners at the junior high level and at the high school level will receive a cash prize. Please see the photo for the rules of the contest.
The Peace Poster Contest is due November 11 and entries will also be picked up at the student’s school. The first-place winner of the Peace Poster Contest will receive a cash prize. It is for students 11, 12, and 13 years of age by November 15, 2024. Please see the photo for the rules of the contest.
All first-place winners of both contests will go on to compete at the district level. Last year Macon County was very proud to have a first, second, and third place winner at the district level in the essay contest. We would love to have lots of participants again this year in both contests. We have very talented students in Macon County!

Due to the most recent rain and wind forecast, Macon County Schools will be closed today.

Macon County Schools is monitoring the incoming weather bringing potential flooding and high winds. As of now we are on time tomorrow, Friday, September 27. If a decision is made to delay or close, you will be notified by 5:30am. Make alternate arrangements for your children in case of a delay or closing. As always, the safety of your children and our staff is our primary concern.

Buses in RBS are still being held due to the storm. They are anticipated to start running within the next 15 minutes.

The worst part of the storm has passed and buses will now begin to run.
